Quality assurance

Material quality verified in our laboratory

In addition to manufacturing your UD tape, we prepare specimens, inspect fiber distribution and impregnation, and document the results. Before you validate in your application, you know the development batch matches the agreed specifications.

Note: Quality assurance analysis is optional and can be added to the starter package if required.

Sample preparation

Spec­i­mens are pre­pared in-house for mi­croscopy and ma­te­ri­al anal­y­sis.

Quality investigation

We in­spect fiber dis­tri­bu­tion, im­preg­na­tion, fiber vol­ume frac­tion and mi­crostruc­ture to en­sure the tape meets the agreed up­on spec­i­fi­ca­tion­s.

The starter package delivers your first individually tailored UD tape — we also support development projects beyond that: we calculate and characterize our materials in detail, tailor the tape precisely to your use case, and can accompany you through to a functional prototype if needed.

We mod­el the ful­ly non­lin­ear be­hav­ior of our ma­te­ri­als up to fail­ure and can use the mod­el to an­a­lyze com­po­nents.

Application-tailored tape

Width, thick­ness, fiber vol­ume frac­tion and ma­te­ri­al se­lec­tion are aligned with your me­chan­i­cal, ther­mal and process re­quire­ments.
